Waist Training FAQ's

Our latex waist cinchers provide really great body shaping, control and complete comfort. They are designed with iodised latex material used to maintain a super tight hold. WHAT IS A WAIST TRAINER?

A Waist trainer is a compression garment that acts as an incredible body-shaping miracle-worker, focusing its inch-trimming effects on your waist. Waist trainers are usually made of a special latex fabric, and they have a compressive design. These two features are the key elements of an efficient waist training garment.

 

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The latex fabric stimulates perspiration in your core, and around your midsection, thus intensifying the slimming effects of waist training. The compression feature that waist trainers provide is the hourglass-figure creating secret ingredient! Putting on a waist trainer for the first time feels like an instant body-makeover! You just won’t be able to stop staring at yourself in the mirror!

 

WHAT STYLE IS BEST FOR ME? 

Its really a matter of preference in terms of style and design. Please also read the following descriptions associated with each product and choose the one best suited to the results you are trying to achieve or the one which is best suited to your needs.

♥ Beginners waist training corsets are a safe option if your unsure on what to order or if you are a beginner as they offer complete comfort and good slimming effects.

♥ Sport cinchers are the ideal companion for working out. Similar to “Classic” but have a cotton or silky exterior. Short torso sport cinchers sit at the waist and are ideal for women with a shorter torso, a high bum or wider hips. Due to its shorter length it does not give lower tummy coverage. Long torso sport cinchers are approx 2 inches longer in the torso and give lower tummy coverage.

Cardio – Sports Waist Trainers/Cinchers – although these are ideal for any level of workout intensity, particularly cardio, we do advise against wearing them for abdominal exercises i.e. sit-ups, crunches etc or exercises involving bending i.e yoga, pilates.

Weight Lifting –  We recommend the Xtreme Fitness Belt range for maximum back and core support.

♥ Classic Everyday styles have a latex exterior giving them maximum compression. These are our most aggressive style of cincher. They are a long torso fit an are ideal for everyday wear giving lower tummy coverage.

 

HOW MANY WAIST SHAPERS DO I NEED?

It is advisable to invest in a couple of waist shapers (i.e. one for everyday and a sport one for working out) and to alternate their usage frequently to avoid wearing them out, destroying their strength and to allow adequate time for cleaning and air drying in between, and so that each trainer gets to ‘rest’ between each wearing.

 

WHAT SIZE DO I NEED?

Our waist training shapers & cinchers are not sized using traditional sizes. Please keep in mind that they do run small to tighten your waistline and give you the hourglass shape. It is important that you order according to the relevant size chart to ensure an appropriate fit. If you are still unsure please contact us for support.

 

HOW DO YOUR TRAINERS COMPARE TO OTHERS ON THE MARKET?

Our trainers are made of the highest quality in comparison to other trainers commonly found on the market. You won’t have to worry about broken hooks (common amongst other trainers after a few weeks), rods that poke out, or it becoming really loose after a couple uses . Our trainers are also thicker and sturdier and they retain their tightness much longer than other trainers on the market. They are branded by to ensure you get the best quality and most authentic products. Better quality means better results.

 

WHAT IF I HAVE POOR POSTURE OR BACK PAIN?

Our trainers have been reported to improve your posture (as they force your back to an upright position). Many customers have also stated the shapers have helped prevent and relieve back pain and tension that they probably did not realise was caused from slouching especially for those who stand or sit for long periods at a time e.g. retail, hospital, office etc

Please consult your G.P. or physician prior to use if you are subject to back, neck, circulatory or other conditions that may be exacerbated by the use of this product.

 

HOW SOON AFTER CHILD BIRTH CAN I START?

Waist training is ideal for postnatal women who are recovering after childbirth and wanting to achieve a slimmer mid-section. It prevents you abdomen from descending, and tightens muscles whilst also giving great support for your back. We would recommend that you wait six weeks after giving birth to allow your body to get back to it’s natural state, particularly if you have had a c-section.

 

WHAT AGE CAN I START WAIST TRAINING FROM?

Although there are no age restrictions, we recommend the use of our products are for adults aged 18+. If you are aged under 18 please consult you parent or guardian prior to making a purchase.

 

DO THESE CINCHERS SQUASH MY INTERNAL ORGANS? 

Unlike the traditional Steel Boned corsets, these waist cinchers and shapers will not constrict or shift your internal organs and are as safe as to wear as any other type of quality tight fitting shapewear or clothing providing you are wear the right size – this is extremely important. Our products are designed to be snug but comfortable and when worn safely.

 

HOW SOON WILL I START TO SEE RESULTS?

For most customers results are usually visible within the first few weeks, providing wearage guidelines of 8-10 hours daily are followed. Within the first month a considerable difference will be visible in your waistline resulting in a more sleeker silhouette and more shapely waistline.

 

HOW DO I CLEAN MY WAIST SHAPER?

It is recommended to wipe down your waist shaper / cincher using lukewarm water and mild detergent when required. Do not use bleach. Lay the trainer flat to air dry to preserve the elasticity and smoothness of the fabrics. Do not under any circumstance dry your shape wear with artificial heat i.e tumble dryer or radiators as this will cause shrinkage and cause the garments to loose elasticity.

Alternate Trainers. Rather than buy one trainer, it is recommended to purchase two and alternate between them so that each trainer gets to ‘rest’ between each wearing.

Bum lifters & Powernet body shapers should be hand washed only in cold water with mild detergent. Air drying your shape wear will preserve the elasticity and smoothness of the fabrics. Do not under any circumstance dry your shape wear with artificial heat i.e tumble dryer or radiators as this will cause shrinkage and cause the garments to loose elasticity.

 

WHEN IS IT TIME TO GET A SMALLER SIZE?

All of our shapers and cinchers are equipped with at least two rows of hooks. Train with the first row upon initial use. When your waist cincher / shaper starts to feel too comfortable or loose, and far too easy to put on, then it is time to move onto the next set of hooks or downsize to a smaller waist cincher. Don’t forget to measure your waist again at this point. Bear in mind that individual’s body shapes are different.

 

WHY AM I EXPERIENCING BRUISING?

In our experience bruising is not a common occurence amongst of our customers. If you are experiencing bruising you are very unlucky and there are a variety of reasons this could occur, for example
– Garment is too small/too tight/ not correct fit for body type
– Garment has been worn for excessive amounts of periods without a break
– Latex allergy/irritation
– Should you experience this brushing whilst the cincher is fairly loose, it may be that the cincher does not fit well and is applying pressure to the wrong places.

Wearing a top beneath your cincher will help with the reduction of friction. If the problem persists we would advise to stop using the cincher until your skin heals, and consult your GP if you have any concerns.
